SALT of Palmar, connu pour ses engagements écologiques, lancera une série de chefs d’hôtes eco-responsable avec une équipe de cuisiniers réputés et soucieux du développement durable. Ils collaboreront avec les chefs locaux afin de créer des événements uniques accompagnés de plats spécialisés. Pour commencer l'année, ils accueilleront deux experts du Royaume-Uni, dont Alexandra Dudley et la célèbre chef, Ruby Bhogal, qui offriront aux invités la possibilité d'explorer les produits locaux, tout en apprenant quelques techniques de cuisiniers professionnels.
Le jeudi 23 janvier, Alexandra Dudley animera, pour les clients de l’hôtel, un atelier dédié aux cocktails et canapés zéro déchet. Ils apprendront à préparer des apéritifs, tels que des martinis à base de pelures de carottes et d'oranges associés à des spiritueux, et des canapés utilisant des ingrédients frais et saisonniers provenant des jardins communautaires de la région. Alexandra est une animatrice connue pour son podcast « Come Dine with Me ». Elle donnera des conseils sur le dressage de table et la planification d’un menu sans faire de gaspillage, tout en faisant plaisir aux invités. Après avoir appris à perfectionner les encas écoresponsables, les clients auront la chance de déguster tout ce qu'elle a préparé.
En mars, la célèbre chef cuisinière et finaliste du ‘British Bake Off’, Ruby Bhogal, sera présente pour partager son expertise avec les amateurs de bonne cuisine. Influencée par ses racines indiennes, Ruby s’est spécialisée dans la création des plats exotiques. Les clients se joindront à elle, le mercredi 25 mars, pour visiter un marché local proche de l’hôtel. L’objectif sera de s'approvisionner en produits et ingrédients de saison avant de participer à un atelier de cuisine. Célébrant l'héritage de Ruby et la forte influence de l’Inde sur la cuisine mauricienne, les participants apprendront à préparer de délicieux plats indiens qui seront concoctés grâce aux produits frais disponibles. Dans l'après-midi, ils se donneront rendez-vous pour un déjeuner avec la chef cuisinière pour goûter aux plats préparés. Le vendredi 27 mars, Ruby prendra les commandes de la boulangerie de SALT, où les clients pourront déguster ses pâtisseries alléchantes. Durant une semaine, les chefs résidents recréeront la magie de Ruby en proposant son menu au restaurant principal.
Ces activités, pour lesquelles l’hôtel accueillera des experts, s’inscriront parfaitement dans la philosophie culinaire que promeut l’hôtel, autour des produits locaux frais et saisonniers, et en éliminant tout gaspillage. Social distancing is recommended but is no longer mandatory. Masks are not required indoors and outdoors, including
in transportation (even if it is still recommended). To visit Reunion Island, it is compulsory for unvaccinated
people to present a Covid-19 test (PCR test less than 72 hours or Antigen test less than 48 hours). Vaccinated
travellers do not need to present any test upon departure. Since 14 May, ‘reasonable excuses’ are not required
for unvaccinated travellers (however a negative Covid test is still compulsory).
Over in China, the doors to our resorts and retreats
are open to domestic travellers only, as borders
remain closed for now. A health QR code is required
upon check-in. Local travellers from high and middle-risk
areas should check in with their regional's regulations.
The Maldives' one island=one resort has made it an alluring destination since day 1.
You are no longer required to present a PCR negative test result upon arrival to the Maldives. This applies to both
vaccinated and non-vaccinated travellers. Wearing a face mask is no longer mandatory, except at health facilities.

From the 1st of July 2022, all travellers (both vaccinated and unvaccinated) can travel freely to Mauritius.
There is no need to present a PCR test at embarkation, and no PCR test will be carried out upon arrival.

arrival for stay dates until 31 October 2023. Exception: Until 14 days prior to arrival for the stay

The then applicable pricing and conditions, combinable with any active
offers at the time of rebooking, will apply for the new stay dates.
Cancellation Policy
All reservations for arrivals until 22 December 2022 will not be subject to any
cancellation charges until 14 days prior to arrival and any prepared amounts will be
entitled for new travel date changes.
For all reservations for arrivals from 23 December 2022 to 10 January 2023 cancellations up to 40 days
prior to arrival will be free of charge and any prepared amounts will be entitled for
new travel date changes.
Postponed Stays Policy
For postponed stays with original arrival dates between now and 22 December 2022,
no rebooking charges will apply, and the new stay dates will be confirmed at the same
originally booked rate for new stay dates up to and inclusive of 22 December 2022.
For new stay dates from 23 December 2022 onwards, these stays will be confirmed at the rate
applicable.
